Students will evaluate their mastery of the objectives by applying the Fist to Five strategy. This is done using the drop-down menu in a Canvas quiz. After assessing themselves, students will then determine the validity of published work on electromagnetic radiation in association with human health.
Quiz questions can be saved and recovered, so students are able to complete the Fist to Five assessment, read Electro Schematics’s Mobile Cell Phone Radiation article and watch the video “Do Cell Phones Cause Brain Tumors?” on EM radiation on cell phone use, and return back to the quiz to finish the essay question.
The activity is designed as a Canvas quiz in which students view several statements and rate their understanding from 0-5. Default point values have been added to the Canvas quiz questions as placeholders. If you plan on including this quiz in your gradebook, we recommend editing the quiz questions to update their point values. We also recommend adding due dates to the activity.
