The following activity adds a career exploration element to this lesson. Provided in this section is an interview with Director of Medical Imaging and Radiology Teacher, Ashley Benard. Students will determine certain advantages and disadvantages as they learn about electromagnetic radiation, what type of technology is used in Mrs. Benard’s field, and will answer two questions posed by Mrs. Benard in the interview.
This activity is set up as a quiz. You may consider creating the questions as a discussion post instead for students to write out their responses to the questions and then respond to one another.
