Road Trip to the Future: Exploring Minority-Serving Institutions

Summary

This collection of lessons provides students with resources to explore Minority-Serving Institutions. Through it, students will learn the history, culture, and importance of Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs), including Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs), Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs), and Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institutions (AANAPISIs). Students will research different institutions that meet their personal and academic goals and create an Anchor Chart to represent their choices. These lessons can be used in tandem with a campus visit to MSIs or as standalone lessons.
