Chrome Canvas

Chrome Canvas is a browser-based sketching application that allows users to create simple images, which can be saved to the cloud or shared with others. It is ideal for quick drawing activities or sketch-notes.

Summary

Chrome Canvas is a “paint” style application that allows for simple image creation. It will save drawings by default to your Google account, but images can also be downloaded or shared. Additionally, you can start from an existing image for easy edits.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to Chrome Canvas.

  2. If this is your first time using Chrome Canvas, click the Get started button to begin a new drawing. If you have used the website before, select New drawing from the upper-left corner of the browser window.

  3. Choose your preferred drawing tool: pencil, pen, marker, or pastel.

  4. To draw, click and drag with your mouse, or if you're on a touchscreen device, use your finger or a stylus.

  5. To add a new layer, click the icon with two stacked squares in the upper-right corner. You can also reorder layers by dragging them, or hide layers by clicking the eye icon.

  6. To save your drawing, click the three dots in the upper-right corner and select Save as image.
