NotebookLM is an AI-powered experimental research and note-taking tool developed by Google, designed to help users organize and synthesize information from their uploaded documents. NotebookLM helps users connect ideas, clarify complex topics, and streamline their workflow.
Procedure
Navigate to NotebookLM.
Log in using a Google account.
Create a new notebook by selecting “Create” on the landing page.
In the Sources box, select “Add source” and upload up to 50 sources, including PDFs, audio files, Word or Google Docs, website links, pasted text, and more.
A synopsis of the sources will be generated in the Chat box. From there, you can type questions and receive answers using your source as the guide.
In the Studio box, you can generate a podcast conversation using the uploaded information. By selecting “Customize,” you can input details from the sources that you want the AI hosts to focus on. When you are ready to hear the conversation, select “Generate” and push the play button.
Take notes of the information by selecting “Add note” in the Notes box. There are also options to create a study guide, briefing doc, FAQ note, and a timeline.
