Summary

SORT is a web application that allows educators and presenters to quickly divide a class or audience into groups. Simply enter the number of groups you need and click a button to generate a QR code and link. Participants can scan the code or visit the link to be automatically assigned to a group. If desired, groups can be customized by setting specific names and colors.

Procedure

  1. Go to sort.k20center.ou.edu/.

  2. Enter the number of groups you want to create. To customize group names and colors, select Custom Options.

  3. Select the SORT button.

  4. Ask learners to scan the generated QR code or go to the displayed URL.

  5. Once they join, learners will be automatically assigned to a group and shown a color-coded card with their group name. Instruct them to use that card to find the other members of their group.

To save the grouping page and share it later, select Save SORT for Later to copy the URL. To create new groups, select Restart.
