Summary

Slido is a web-based platform designed to boost engagement during presentations. Use this tool to create live polls, word clouds, Q&As, or quizzes and instantly share results. Slido can be used as a stand-alone tool or integrated with PowerPoint and Google Slides. The free version allows up to 100 participants and 3 polls per slido.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to https://slido.com to create your free account or sign in.

  2. Select “Create Slido” to set up a new event. Enter the event name, start date, and end date.

  3. Add interaction types:

    1. Polls: Multiple choice, open text, word cloud, rating, or quizzes.

    2. Q&A: Enable participants to submit and upvote questions.

    3. Surveys: Combine multiple polls into a single survey.

  4. Customize your event settings and questions.

  5. Share the event code or QR link with your audience.

  6. Run your session:

    1. Present polls or Q&A on screen.

    2. Moderate questions and highlight top-voted ones.

    3. Show live results and feedback in real time.

  7. Review analytics and download insights after your session.
